Edit Text in Image API
Find text with OCR, then replace it — same font, same background — in one API call.
How it works
- 1. Upload — send an image by URL, base64 or file upload.
- 2. Find the text — call OCR to get every line and its position, or just send the old and new text and we locate it for you.
- 3. Get results — poll the job or receive a webhook with the edited images.
What you get back
- Result A (AI edit) and Result B (blended into your original) are returned for every successful job.
- Result C (4K) is not guaranteed — our system adds it automatically when the image is suitable, and tells you why when it is skipped.
- You are only charged when A or B succeeds. If both fail, the call is free and we tell you why.
- Changing several pieces of text in one image counts as one edit.

OCR
Need more OCR than your pack includes? $0.01 per call, sold in blocks of $20 (2,000 calls). OCR that runs inside an edit request is free, and the same image is only counted once within 24 hours.
API keys — sign in to rewords.ai and buy an API pack, then create up to 5 keys on yourAPI keys page. API balance is separate from website credits. Want to see the quality first? Edit one image free on the website.
Limits — up to 10 jobs run at once per account and up to 30 wait in the queue. When the queue is full you get a retry time and are not charged.
