Pricing and billing
ReWords.AI API pricing — edit packs from $50 down to $0.20 per edit, bundled OCR, standalone OCR at $0.01 per call, and exactly when you are charged.
All prices are in US dollars. Packs are one-time purchases, valid for 12 months; the oldest pack is used first.
Edit packs
Every pack includes OCR calls: the number of edits plus 15%.

OCR
Need more OCR than your packs include? $0.01 per call, sold in blocks of $20 (2,000 calls).
- OCR that runs inside
POST /edits(when you send text without abox) is free. - The same image is counted once within 24 hours.
When you are charged
- One edit per job, charged only when result A or B succeeds. Changing several pieces of text in one image is still one edit.
- If both A and B fail, the job is free and the response says why. See Results and refunds.
- Requests rejected before processing — invalid image, content review, text not found, rate limit, full queue — are never charged.
- One edit is reserved when you submit and released automatically if the job fails.
Checking your balance
GET /account returns:
edits_remaining— edits you can still submit: all unexpired edit packs, minus edits reserved for jobs that are queued or running. This is the same number asbalancein an edit.ocr_remaining— OCR calls left in all unexpired packs.packs— each unexpired pack with its ownremainingandexpires_at. An edit is taken from its pack when you submit it and put back if the job fails, so the edit packs add up toedits_remaining.
Edits are taken from the pack that expires first. An edit reserved from a pack that expires before the job finishes is still charged to that pack or, if it fails, simply released.
API balance and website credits
API packs and website credits are separate balances: one cannot pay for the other. There is no free API allowance — to check the output quality first, edit one image free on rewords.ai, or start with the Lite pack. API results never carry a watermark.
